Why your home or business needs disinfection
Disinfection is an important step in protecting the health of families, staff and customers, especially in places with frequent contact such as offices, restaurants, schools, clinics and hotels. Surfaces like door handles, tables, lift buttons and shared devices can carry germs and viruses for hours and pass them easily between people.
Disinfection also complements insect and rodent control, removing any contamination pests have left on surfaces and in storage areas and returning the space to a clean, safe condition.
When is disinfection recommended?
We recommend disinfection after pest control treatments, before opening a new restaurant or facility, after renovation work, and regularly in offices and high-traffic spaces. It is also advisable at home after infectious illness, or before welcoming a newborn or elderly relatives.
In food businesses, documented regular disinfection helps you meet food safety requirements and gives customers and inspectors a positive impression.
How Orbit carries out disinfection
We start by surveying the site to identify the most used areas and the most touched surfaces, then choose the right product and application method for each area. We use approved disinfectants that are safe for people when used as directed, at concentrations suited to each surface.
We apply disinfectant with fogging machines that release fine droplets reaching corners and hard-to-reach places, or by spraying and wiping sensitive surfaces and equipment directly. This covers large areas in a short time, so your work is not interrupted for long.
When we finish we tell you when it is safe to return, and hand over a disinfection certificate showing the service date and products used. Regular programs can be arranged for commercial premises.
Disinfection for commercial, medical and educational facilities
Each type of facility has different needs. In offices we focus on shared surfaces, meeting rooms and lifts; in restaurants on kitchens, dining areas and washrooms; and in schools and nurseries on classrooms and play areas, with products suitable for children. In clinics and medical centres we take into account the specific requirements of waiting and examination rooms.
We schedule disinfection after working hours or at weekends so your work is not affected, and offer regular contracts at fixed prices for facilities that need it routinely. If you already have a pest control program with us, disinfection can be combined into the same visit to save time and cost.
Keeping your space clean after disinfection
Clean the most touched surfaces daily with suitable products, and provide hand sanitiser at entrances and shared areas. Keep the space well ventilated, and clean AC filters regularly because dust and germs collect in them.
In commercial kitchens, keep kitchen cleaning tools separate from washroom tools, and replace sponges and cleaning cloths frequently. These habits, combined with regular disinfection, keep the results for longer.
Frequently asked questions
How long does disinfecting a home or office take?
It depends on the size of the space. An apartment or small office usually takes a short time, and the team will give you an estimate after the survey.
When can we return after disinfection?
Usually shortly after the treatment is finished and the space has been ventilated. The technician will confirm the time based on the product used.
Does disinfection replace pest control?
No. Disinfection kills germs on surfaces but does not eliminate insects or rodents. When needed we combine both: pest control first, then disinfection to remove contamination.
Do you issue a certificate after disinfection?
Yes. We provide a disinfection certificate after every visit showing the date and products used, which you can present during inspections.
